2023 Symposium Presentation: Daguerreotypes at Harvard

Daguerreotypes at Harvard by Elena Bulat Elena Bulat, senior photograph conservator at Harvard’s Weissman Preservation Center, offers an introduction to the more than 3,500 daguerreotypes housed within Harvard Library collections. Her presentation gives a high-level overview of their makers and subject matter, as well as the range of formats and presentation methods. Preservation resources used to take care of this priceless collection are also discussed. Presented at the 2023 Daguerreian Society Symposium on September 29, 2023.
